do you sympathise with joker?(TEQA) what did you learn from this lesson?

Do you sympathise with the joker? what did you learn from this lesson?

I do sympathise with the joker even though he has commited so much crimes and sin. In the story: THE KILLING JOKE, he is shown as a caring husband who quits his job as a engineer at a chemical plants to be a stand-up comedian. It was also known that he "failed miserably". He was "desperate" to support his wife that was pregnant, Jeannie and thus agreed in helping two criminals break into the plant that he was formerly employed in to get the card to the company next door. But sadly, during the planning of the break in, the police contacted joker, telling him that Jeanie and his unborn baby died in a household accident that left him scarred.
"Stricken with grief", he wanted to back out of the plan but the criminals strong-arm him into keeping his promise. But when they just entered the plant, they were caught by the security. Joker was "terrified" when he tries to escape and and saw batman, who is investigating the disturbance. Thus causing him to jump over a rail and plummets into a vat of chemicals. This causes the disfiguration on his face. These events drove him"completely insane".
i sympathise with him because he had the thought backing out the plan and he agreed helping them because he needed to financially support his family. However, i do not agree his way of getting back his retribution. It is wrong to kill innocent people whom had no feuds with him and what more strangers to him. I believe that he did not want himself to end up in this way. Joker's way of getting back on Batman has caused many death innocently and he had caused many troubles. But in overall i do sympathise with Joker though he had commited so much crimes but if none of such traumatising events happen, he would not end up being the joker, going insane and danger many people's life,

After this lesson, i've learnt that we should not judge the book by it's cover. Even though we've seen Joker commiting so much crimes and causes us to give him the name of the "devil" , we ought to find out the reason behind it. It is known that there will always be a cause to a certain effect. Therefore, i've learnt that we should not only look at the only side of a certain character yet we should understand the reason why and see the other side of the character.
